About the speakers:

Jonathan Lacey, Co-founder and Partner at Cruxes Innovation

Jonathan started his career as a physical science researcher at the University of Melbourne. He spent 10 years in Silicon Valley where he became fascinated by helping other researchers make a difference in the world with their ideas, in large companies and research spinouts. He returned to Australia to lead a spinout based on Monash University research. It raised $10M but failed. The focus of his career since then has been putting the lessons he learned here to work in creating impact with research.

Emily Chang, Co-founder and Partner at Cruxes Innovation

Emily is an organisational psychologist, facilitator, learning designer and executive and founder coach with extensive experience supporting researchers and research teams to translate ideas into real-world impact. Her previous roles include Head of Product for CSIRO’s ON Program, where she led the design and delivery of innovation programs including ON Accelerate, ON Prime and Launch Camp, and Resident Entrepreneur and Researcher to Impact Program Facilitator at the University of Sydney’s INCUBATE. Emily holds a Master of Organisational Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychological Science from The University of Queensland.
